Overview
Description:
The Grants Manager is a key team member of the General Management department. This position will assist the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe with ensuring grants are fully utilized, maintaining compliance with all grant requirements and deadlines, and communicating this information through the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual grant reports aligned with ongoing budget processes and analysis. The Grants Manager is responsible for providing leadership in the planning, coordination, and implementation of grant development and management processes.
- Prepare, develop, and submit grant proposals and renewal applications.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable grant reporting requirements.
- Provide financial oversight for the administration of grant funds and conduct routine monitoring; prepare grant budgets, budget amendments, budget change forms, and related documents; assist in accounting for grant expenditures.
- Lead the submission and management of grant applications across multiple grantmaking platforms and funder portals, ensuring compliance with all requirements while maximizing award success.
- Drive grant acquisition efforts by coordinating proposal development, managing submission processes, and facilitating the successful receipt and administration of grant awards.
- Develop and maintain a grant management tracking process to monitor timelines, deliverables, compliance requirements, and reporting deadlines.
- Analyze transactions, including salaries and wages applied to grants and verify compliance of allowable costs and applicable regulatory requirements. Notify appropriate personnel of action needed.
- Act as a liaison by meeting with program managers monthly and providing grant performance reports, including grant utilization, and appropriate recommendations.
- Prepare monthly performance reports for all grants, annual reports for Tribal Council, and utilization and variance analysis reports for the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Directors.
- Research and identify grant funding opportunities available to the Tribe and key programs.
- Interpret and communicate administrative regulations and policies to staff within the Tribe and external agencies.
- Provide direct supervision of all grant department staff and work collaboratively to develop annual grant strategy and direction.
- Collaborate with program managers, directors, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable funding strategies, prepare grant budgets, and align grant activities with tribal objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with grant-funded activities.
