Job Summary

Finish Welder – Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WAAllegion is seeking a Production Finish Welder to fulfill a full‑time position in Snoqualmie, WA at our Technical Glass Products facility.

Schedule

Currently Monday ‑ Friday 6:00AM ‑ 2:30PM. Occasional overtime. Plans to move to a 4×10 hour schedule in the future.

What You Will Do
  • Perform assigned welding techniques with high attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with the supervisors or weld prep and scheduling position for all work.
  • Check material for defects and correct dimensions.
  • Verify that all operations have been completed as specified on the documents.
  • Report all issues and inconsistencies.
  • Use Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) for materials and operations not in compliance.
  • Initiate corrective actions to resolve NCRs and return material to production.
  • Expedite orders through welding as required.
  • Operate all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in a safe manner.
  • Organize and maintain the areas around the welding area.
  • Improve workflow, work processes, or work procedures as needed.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
  • Maintain equipment and tools as required by the manufacturer and as directed.
  • Train additional team members.
  • Perform metal finishing work using manual and power tools.
  • Complete periodic welding and finishing tests required to keep current proficiency status.
  • Perform multiple operations simultaneously, often required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members.
What You Need to Succeed
  • 2+ years of experience with MIG and/or TIG welding.
  • Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and thin gauge welding techniques.
  • Proficiency with sanding and grinding techniques.
  • Experience in aluminum and/or metal finishing; stainless steel preferred.
  • Technical degree in Welding preferred.
  • Experience working with galvanized material preferred.
  • WABO certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints, production, and technical drawings.
  • Able to complete assigned tasks within limited time frames.
  • Strong organizational and math skills.
  • Remain alert in a high‑risk environment.
  • Assess priorities to determine urgent needs.
  • Maintain schedule and tasks despite interruptions.
Working Environment

The employee regularly works in a heavy‑work environment where moderate to loud noise occurs. The workplace is an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty, with rotating welding operations and overhead work. Tasks require frequent standing, stooping, walking, twisting, bending, lifting, and moving heavy objects (up to 70lb, occasionally up to 100lb). Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes, and forklifts may be used.

Personal protective equipment is required and provided. The job requires rapid work, effective communication, problem‑solving, and the ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks under time pressure.

Expected Base Hourly Range: $27.00 – $30.24. Actual salary will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
