Salary: $96,792.00 - $ Yearly. The salary does not include an additional 5% premium pay for employees working in on-site 24/7 facilities. Supplemental shift differentials are applied for weekend hours, swing shift, and between the hours of 11pm-7am.

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for a Registered Nurse 3 to oversee the delivery of health care services to youth in a secure juvenile rehabilitation setting. This position provides advanced clinical nursing care, supervises nursing and allied health staff, and ensures compliance with professional, legal, and accreditation standards. The Opportunity:

Use your nursing and leadership skills to take charge of health center operations, coordinate medical, dental, behavioral health, and substance use disorder services, and ensure access to quality, timely, and appropriate care for youth residents. As an important member of the Health Center Team, you will treat residents according to physician orders and encourage resident accountability using the integrated treatment plan.

You will play a key role in integrating medical care with reentry planning, chronic disease management, medication-assisted treatment (MOUD), and health education to prepare youth for healthier futures.

Some of what you will do:

* Ensure health assessments, physical exams, and immunizations are completed within required timelines.

* Oversee medication administration processes, including controlled substances.

* Monitor infection control, chronic disease programs, and outbreak response.

* Develop, update, and implement nursing policies and procedures.

* Maintain staffing schedules and approve leave.

* Conduct evaluations and corrective action.

* Respond to facility medical emergencies, including trauma, overdose, or acute illness.

* Serve as a resource to staff in crisis situations.

* Coordinate off-site care and specialty referrals, and transport youth for medical care as needed.

* Lead continuous quality improvement efforts and integrate reentry-focused health care planning.

Required qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing AND a valid Washington State Registered Nurse License.

AND

Three (3) years of professional nursing experience, including supervisory experience.

In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing.

* Correctional, public health, behavioral health, or adolescent health care experience.

* Knowledge of NCCHC standards and juvenile rehabilitation operations.
