Meteorologist

Snoqualmie, WA | Full-Time | On-Site (24/7 Operations Environment)

Weather Net is seeking an Operational Meteorologist to join our forecasting team in Snoqualmie, Washington. In this role, you’ll deliver operational weather forecasts and decision support to transportation agencies, airports, municipalities, construction companies, schools, and other weather-sensitive organizations, helping clients make informed decisions before hazardous weather strikes.

• Produce operational weather forecasts for assigned regions
• Monitor changing weather conditions and update forecasts in real time
• Analyze radar, satellite imagery, numerical weather models, and observational data
• Forecast winter weather, severe weather, road weather, and other operational hazards
• Provide decision support to clients through phone, email, web portals, and written reports
• Collaborate with fellow meteorologists in a 24/7 forecasting environment

• Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science
• Operational forecasting experience (2+ years preferred)
• Experience supporting DOTs, transportation agencies, or road weather operations is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex weather impacts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work in a collaborative, shift-based operational environment
