Aggregate Plant Mechanic

Cal Portland seeks an Aggregate Plant Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment at our mining and aggregate facilities. In this field-based role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and service conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, and related systems to keep production running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, welding and fabrication, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement. You'll work in a collaborative, safety-focused culture with opportunities for growth while contributing to sustainable construction materials production.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, and related aggregate plant equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance to minimize downtime
• Conduct welding and fabrication for equipment repair and modification
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in plant operations
• Follow and promote strict safety procedures in a heavy industrial environment
• Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues promptly
• Collaborate with operations staff to schedule maintenance with minimal production impact
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
