Data Engineer, Database Administrator
Our client is a global leader in digital advertising, offering a flexible and unified technology stack that includes a Demand-Side Platform (DSP) and Supply-Side Platform (SSP). Their data-driven platform enables advertisers, agencies, publishers, and broadcasters to optimize audience targeting and campaign performance across multiple channels, including Connected TV.
Project DescriptionThe Data Operations (Data Ops) Team is responsible for building, supporting, and maintaining data pipelines and database infrastructure. The focus is on improving reliability, scalability, and efficiency of databases, data pipelines, and data stores by engineering solutions to handle large-scale data processing. The team ensures monitoring, alerting, and auto-remediation for critical database operations.

- Ensure the stability, performance, and development of Oracle/MySQL databases;
- Maintain and optimize Oracle RAC and MySQL RDBMS administration, including RAC/Dataguard maintenance, DB installations/upgrades, backups/restores, tuning, permissions, and security;
- Work closely with R&D teams to support new and ongoing data-related projects;
- Improve database reliability, scalability, and performance by implementing best practices;
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and auto-remediation solutions for database operations;
- Optimize data pipelines and large-scale data processing workflows;
- Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages (Shell, Python, Ruby);
- Work with Linux-based systems for database deployment and maintenance;
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle RAC and MySQL RDBMS administration;
- Deep expertise in RAC/Dataguard maintenance, database installations/upgrades, backup/restore, performance tuning, permissions, and security;
- Strong experience working with Linux-based environments;
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, Ruby) for automation;
- English proficiency from B1+ for effective communication in an international team;
- Understanding of Big Data database technologies and architectures, such as Vertica, Druid, Kafka, Hadoop, Snowflake;
- Experience working with No
SQL/KV store databases, such as Redis, Mongo
DB, or Aerospike; - Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet;
