Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join Snyder High School as a full-time PEIMS Clerk. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate student data and ensuring compliance with state reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and parents.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) database with accurate student information, including enrollment, attendance, and demographic data.
- Prepare and submit required state and federal reports in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Assist in the collection and verification of student data for various assessments and accountability measures.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to ensure accurate reporting and data entry.
- Respond to inquiries from parents, students, and staff regarding student records and data-related issues.
- Conduct regular audits of student records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data management procedures and policies.
- Provide training and support to staff on data entry and reporting processes as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to FERPA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in data management or office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Knowledge of PEIMS reporting requirements and educational data management practices is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
