High School Crossing Guard

Summary

This is specifically for the high school. Times would be 6:45am - 8:15am and 12:00pm - 1:30pm.

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to ensure the safety of students and pedestrians at designated crosswalks. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a safe environment during school hours, effectively managing traffic, and fostering a sense of security within the community. This full-time position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and local traffic authorities.

• - Monitor and control pedestrian traffic at designated crosswalks during school arrival and dismissal times.
• - Ensure the safe crossing of students, parents, and other pedestrians.
• - Communicate effectively with students and drivers to promote safety and compliance with traffic laws.
• - Use hand signals and crossing signs to direct traffic and maintain order.
• - Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to school authorities or local law enforcement.
• - Attend training sessions as required to stay updated on safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• - Collaborate with school staff, parents, and local authorities to promote safety awareness.
• - Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on duty.
• - Assist in emergency situations by following established safety procedures.

• - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• - Previous experience in a safety or traffic control role is a plus.
• - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• - Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• - Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations.
• - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• - CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
• - Must pass a background check and any required training programs.
