Position OverviewElectronics Technician I – perform systems maintenance and operations of range systems at the Electronic Scoring Site (ESS) in Snyder, TX.
Responsibilities- Perform systems maintenance and operations of range systems and facilities.
- Replace components and wire circuits.
- Repair simple electronic equipment.
- Conduct test readings using instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Work outdoors and indoors.
- Climb ladders, work in elevated areas and confined spaces, and work on high-voltage and radio-frequency circuits.
- Lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Perform physical activity such as sitting, standing, kneeling and climbing.
- Overtime may be required.
- Associate’s degree in electronics or certificate from an accredited technical school, or equivalent military technical training.
- Minimum 2‑3 years of experience with electronic combat range systems desired.
- Read and write English.
- Basic knowledge of Windows-based PC and documentation of maintenance actions.
- Experience with JTE Joint Threat Emitter, MST-T1A / MUTES, MST-T1(V) / Mini-MUTES, Visual/IR targets, ground radar, satellite tracking/radio, antenna positioning, and high-power transmitters (TWTs or magnetrons) is helpful.
- Current driver’s license and ability to be insured under company vehicle insurance while driving work vehicles.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance prior to hire.
- Pass consumer report/driver record/background investigation, including SSN, driver record, and criminal background. The same screening applies for all candidates.
