Construction Superintendent

CEIS | Government is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a four-month commercial renovation project in Socorro, NM. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

The project consists of renovations to two existing facilities, including exterior painting, stucco restoration, ceiling replacement, minor structural steel repairs, and rooftop HVAC unit replacement. This position offers the potential for continued employment on future commercial construction projects throughout the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas based on performance.

• Oversee all daily field operations from project mobilization through final completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel.
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project schedules and coordinate activities to maintain milestones and deadlines.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure proper execution.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality, productivity, and safety.
• Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining open communication with project management and clients.
• Coordinate inspections and verify completion of corrective actions when required.
• Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and field records.
• Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Manage project quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance from start to finish.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
• Experience managing commercial renovation or building improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trade partners.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

• Experience supporting public sector, state, municipal, or federal construction projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Experience with structural concrete, building envelope restoration, structural steel repairs, or mechanical equipment replacement.
• Experience managing renovation work in occupied or active facilities.
