The Teaching Staff at our organization plays a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. They are responsible for implementing curriculum that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Building positive relationships with children and families is at the core of their responsibilities, along with observing and assessing children’s progress to ensure individualized support.
The Teaching Staff maintains engaging classroom environments, focusing on promoting school readiness goals and supporting children with diverse abilities. Regular communication with families and participation in professional development are essential aspects of this role. In addition, ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations is a key priority. Our team of Teachers and Teacher Assistants work together to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (or as required by Head Start) for Teachers.
- CDA Credential or willingness to obtain one within required timeframe for Teacher Assistants.
