Overview

As a Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care, your voice influences patient care across the department and beyond, through collaboration with managers, hospital councils, and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and advance the future of nursing.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and at the start of each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status promptly.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care administration thoroughly and promptly in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and act appropriately if an unintended response occurs.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and resolve issues in a proactive manner.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into understandable language.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • No travel required.
