Job Summary

The Transport coordinator is responsible for supervising daily activities of the unit and staff to assure quality patient care. This includes coordinating staff efforts to meet patient and customer needs, enhancing care quality through educational and QI programs, providing expert knowledge, leadership, and education for individuals within the unit, developing educational programs on current nursing trends, implementing and maintaining quality improvement processes, performing chart audits for documentation and risk reduction, maintaining and improving patient outcomes, anticipating and adjusting staffing based on unit needs, and collaborating with the Administrative Director and Director on initiatives that improve unit quality.

Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Care must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • STABLE certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • No travel required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
