Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Peri-Op RN for a travel assignment in an Operating Room setting in Socorro, NM, requiring prior travel experience and small PACU/Pre-Op background.

Job Details

• Operating Room (OR) setting at a general hospital in Socorro, NM,

•

Schedule:

4x10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM), varied days,

• 40 hours per week,

• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required,

• Epic EMR used on-site; training available for those without prior Epic experience,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required,

• ADN or ASN degree required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross,

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in a small PACU with Pre-Op experience required,

• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required,

• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient care needs throughout each shift,

• Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team,

• Assumes clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel,

• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols,

• Addresses patient and family education and discharge planning needs throughout the episode of care,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered,

• Former permanent staff of Presbyterian Health Services must wait one year before being considered as a traveler,

• First-time travelers will not be considered; at least one prior travel assignment is required
