Our client
is looking for an experienced and motivated Family and Community Service Specialist
to join the leadership team at their premier childcare center in Socorro, NM.The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Full-Time;
Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Salary
- $15.13– $29.81/hour
pending education, certifications, and professional experience

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support family and community engagement services.
- Maintain accurate case files, records, and data in agency databases.
- Ensure timely completion of required documentation and monitor program compliance.
- Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing support and referrals.
- Plan and facilitate parent meetings, family engagement activities, and communications.
- Assist with recruitment, enrollment, eligibility, and application processing.
- Collaborate with center staff and community partners to support children and families.
- Participate in committees, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED
Education:
Associate’s degree or Certification in Social, Human or Family Services, Case Management or related field - REQUIRED Experience if you dont meet the educational requirements: 7 years of experience in Social, Human or Family Services, Case Management or related field WITH four years in a supervisory capacity.
- Desired
Skills:
Data entry, familiar with computer programs, bilingual would be a plus! (Spanish), communication skills (written and spoken), and ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints. - Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices, team leadership, and professional development/coaching
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- A genuine love for children and commitment to high-quality education
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
