Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the unit's Director or Designated Charge Nurse, you will assume responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on your designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, you are responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit. The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Medical Center.
In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care.
- Texas or Compact State Nursing License.
- ACLS Certification.
- BCLS Certification.
- PALS Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Associates or Bachelors of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in PICU (preferred).
- Leadership and management experience preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- No travel required.
- 1 year experience required.
