The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and fulfillment operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer experience. This role provides hands-on leadership within the Shipping Department, supporting and guiding Shipping Associates while maintaining accountability for order accuracy, inventory coordination, and workflow prioritization. The Shipping Lead works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily shipping operations to ensure orders are packed and shipped accurately and on time
- Lead, support, and train Shipping Associates to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency
- Prioritize daily order queues, including time-sensitive and priority shipments
- Review and verify order accuracy, including product selection, weights, addresses, and packaging standards
- Act as the primary point of contact for shipping-related issues and escalations
- Coordinate with Marketing, Help Desk, Bakery, and Warehouse teams within distribution to maintain accurate inventory and order flow
- Manage inventory ordering and ensure appropriate stock levels for online sales
- Conduct regular inventory checks and resolve discrepancies
- Oversee returns, cancellations, reshipments, and related shipping issues
- Ensure the shipping workspace remains organized, clean, and efficient
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping workflows, accuracy, and team performance

- Willingness to assist outside of shipping tasks in a warehouse/distribution setting
- High school diploma or GED required (higher education a plus)
- Demonstrated success in a Shipping Associate or related role within Snapdragon or in similar roles elsewhere
- Strong working knowledge of Snapdragon’s shipping operations, order flow, and inventory processes
- Consistent record of accuracy, reliability, and meeting performance expectations
- Experience training, supporting, or informally leading peers preferred
- Familiarity with shipping platforms, internal tools, and cross-department communication
- Demonstrates excellence in accuracy and attention to detail in daily shipping operations
- Strong ability to lead by example and set the standard for quality and efficiency
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage team workflow
- Ability to coach, support, and provide constructive feedback to peers
