Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst FP&A to join our Finance team. In this role, you won't just crunch numbers—you will build the data architecture and financial models that drive our growth. We need a self-starting "thinker" who can bridge the gap between complex data processing and high-level strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities- Financial Reporting & Analysis
:
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, banks and PE stakeholders. Perform variance analysis to provide insights into actuals vs. forecasts. - Strategic Modeling
:
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. - Budgeting & Forecasting
:
Support the annual budgeting process and continuous re-forecasting efforts using Datarails. - Cross-functional Collaboration
:
Partner with Operations, Marketing, and Sales to align financial forecasts with business activity and strategic initiatives. - Data Extraction & Architecture
:
Build and maintain optimized data extraction processes. This includes expertise in Net Suite (Saved Searches, Analytics Workbooks, and Suite Scripts), SQL queries for Superset, and internal data warehousing. - Project Management
:
Manage individual projects from initial planning through to completion.
- Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance or Accounting.
- Experience with high-growth startups, life sciences, tech, or private equity-backed environments is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert level Excel skills (complex modeling is a must).
- Hands on experience with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred) and reporting tools like Datarails and Superset.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail when working with large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex financial data intoclear,concise information.
- Self-organized and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven team environment.
- Logistics:
- On-site in Solana Beach headquarters office at least 4 days a week. Local (San Diego County) candidates only
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Full-time, salaried position, Mon-Fri workdays
