DescriptionThe Light Duty Mechanic must be a highly motivated, team player who is willing to help repair and maintain our fleet of company and customer vehicles. Responsibilities include evaluating and verifying concerns, identifying additional repairs, ensuring timely completion of repairs, test driving vehicles, and staying current on training such as ASE, factory, diagnostic tools, and safety.
Key Duties- Perform inspection, maintenance, and repairs on SUVs, vans, trucks, trailers, etc.
- Diagnose and repair electronic vehicle communication systems, engines, transmission, suspension, brakes, and steering.
- Track maintenance and work completed via phone, email, or paperwork, and communicate diagnoses effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, brakes, and tire services.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components and electrical/mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Test repaired products to ensure proper performance and compliance.
- Maintain a clean shop and vehicles.
- Estimate repair times to ensure timely completion.
- Work in outdoor environments.
- Have full mobility and work in various positions such as stooping, standing, kneeling, etc.
- Lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment as needed, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and a clean DMV record.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Keep work area and equipment maintained.
- Flexible work hours, including overtime.
- Complete all paperwork daily.
- Provide own basic tools for repairs.
- Minimum 3 years mechanic experience.
- NSTC Training preferred.
