Kenai River Campus IT Help Desk Student Worker

Kenai Peninsula College is looking for excellent student workers in the IT department. The help desk provides first contact student, staff and faculty technical support. They are the first person a customer sees and often the first person a customer speaks with. They are expected to be courteous, prompt, and self-sufficient. Help desk employees will sometimes work nights with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of Blackboard and UAOnline
- Completion of approved customer service training
- General administrative duties
- Familiarity with video streaming services
- Knowledge of HTML beneficial, but not required
- Ability to become familiar with industry standards for accessible digital content and educational technology tools
- Must pass a skills assessment
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrollment Requirements:
During the academic year, undergraduate students must be taking at least 6 credits.
GPA Requirements:
Students must have and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to be employed as a student employee.
Work Schedule Restrictions:
While classes are in session, students may work up to 20 hours per week.
Position Details:
This is a part time position up to 20 hours/week during the semester. This position is located at Kenai Peninsula College in Soldotna Alaska. This job is a Grade 2 Step 13 position which pays $14.38/hour.
