About the Role

As a Structural Engineer (EIT), you will:

• Work under the guidance of experienced engineers to assist with structural load determination, perform calculations, and design various bridge, waterfront and other industrial structures, including:
  • Energy and aerospace industry facilities
  • Vehicle and pedestrian bridges
  • Gangways and trestles
  • Marine terminals, docks, harbors and marinas
• Learn to develop construction drawings using AutoCAD with mentorship from senior staff.
• Participate in inspections and condition assessments of existing structures, and develop detailed technical reports with the support of your team.
• Collaborate across disciplines such as site-civil design, surveying, geotechnical engineering, and permitting to broaden your skill set and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

We welcome entry-level candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• A bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam or can do so within six months of hire.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA 3D, SAP) and AutoCAD is helpful but not required—we’re ready to teach!
• A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers.
• Knowledge of basic structural principles and a desire to deepen your understanding of design codes/standards and materials.
• Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
• Motivation to grow professionally and tackle new challenges.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and participate in fieldwork.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license, a good driving record, and vehicle insurance.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
