Employee-owned HDR is currently seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program. Our portfolio of award‑winning coastal projects shows the depth and breadth of our team’s expertise across the broader interdisciplinary markets of architecture, federal, transportation, and water resources. Our nationally coordinated, locally delivered coastal engineers are leading the way to solve the nation’s toughest coastal engineering and restoration issues.

• Perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects, including marsh restoration and beach nourishment.
• Design shoreline protection projects, such as revetments and breakwaters.
• Plan navigation projects including dredging, marinas, and harbors.
• Develop plans and specifications and engage in project management.
• Familiarity with wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging, and basic geotechnical or structural systems is preferred.

• Qualified coastal engineer with relevant experience in the above project types.
• Strong analytical, technical, and design skills.
• Experience with coastal engineering software and marine design is desirable.
