• Current National Sign Language Interpreter Certification (required)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience interpreting in educational environments is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to various classroom settings and student needs
• Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality

• Accurately interpret spoken and signed communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Facilitate classroom discussions, instruction, and activities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Assist in adapting materials and supporting accessibility for students
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to address individual student needs
• Maintain clear and accurate records of interpreting services provided
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input related to communication access when needed
