Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for a 13-week travel assignment in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting, requiring an Alaska LPN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Job Details

• Long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) unit,

• Works with a resident population in a wellness-focused long-term care environment,

• 12-hour shifts, any day Sunday through Saturday,

• On-call availability required as needed,

• Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system,

Job Requirements

• Current Alaska LPN license required (license required if applicable),

• Minimum 1 year of long-term care nursing experience preferred,

• Associate's degree in nursing required,

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required,

• Epic EMR experience beneficial given system in use,

• Availability for any 12-hour shift, Sunday through Saturday, including on-call as needed,

Additional Information

• Provides clinical leadership to Resident Assistants, including coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques,

• Follows individualized resident care plans and is responsible for accurate, timely medication administration and prescribed order management,

• Practices the facility's 'Choices Philosophy of Care,' emphasizing resident dignity, respect, and quality of life,

• Adheres to safety standards including universal precautions, infection control, and blood borne pathogen protocols,

• Online modules must be completed prior to starting the assignment,

• COVID vaccination or a signed declination form is required; unvaccinated staff must wear masks while on site,
