Travel RN - ICU

Overview

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Alaska, requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience and an active AK RN license.

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC
• COVID vaccination or signed declination form required; unvaccinated staff must wear a mask on-site

• Acute care ICU setting with a 6-bed unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
• EMR:
  Epic; medication dispensing via Pyxis
• 8-week contract
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice
• 3-day department orientation provided upon arrival
• Medication testing must be completed on-site within the first two weeks
• Pre-employment modules must be completed before the start date
• Candidates with any previous employment at this facility must disclose it for a do-not-use (DNU) check
• Scrubs required; not provided by the facility
