License to Submit: Yes
Active AK RN License: Required
Advanced Fetal Monitoring
BLS Certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
STABLE
COVID-19 vaccination required
The RN will manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with hospital policies, departmental procedures, and professional nursing standards.
Responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients.
Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes.
Perform and document patient assessments and interventions.
Support labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care as assigned.
Utilize fetal monitoring and other unit-specific equipment safely and effectively.
Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and patient-safety standards.
Provide patient and family education and support throughout the childbirth experience.
Participate in unit procedures, call coverage, and other assigned duties.
