Duties & Responsibilities

The Operational Control Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Oversight of Operational Control personnel, which includes flight coordinators and flight followers to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensures Operational Control personnel have access to the following company documents: GOM, 14 CFR regulations, The company Emergency Response Plan (ERP), 49 CFR Part 830 (NTSB), Company Training Manual.
  • Maintains accounts for company flight tracking and ensures flight coordinators and flight followers have access to company flight tracking information.
  • Ensures current copies of the following remain posted in-flight operations:
    Ops Spec C070 Airports Authorized for Scheduled Operations, Ops Spec C080 IFR Ops in Class G airspace:
    Scheduled passenger carry operations, Ops Spec D085 Approved list of Aircraft, Pilot Status Sheet, Maintenance Status Report.
  • Responsible for administration of the company emergency response plan (ERP), which includes content and distribution of the ERP, and coordinating a minimum of (1) emergency response drills each month for each shift to ensure readiness and understanding required of operational control employees.
  • Maintains familiarity with company compliance documents.
  • Maintains the Operational Control personnel schedule.
  • Ensures all staff are trained to proficiency in accordance with the YCS Training Program.
  • Regularly checks company emails and Text for notifications from company personnel.
  • Promotes the company safety reporting system and encourages flight coordinators and flight followers to file safety reports when appropriate.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
