Position: Cellar Crew 2 - Soledad

Cellar Crew 2

The Cellar Crew 2 is responsible for the safe operation of cellar equipment, general winery work, and day-to-day sanitation and facility hygiene best practices. This includes sanitizing tanks, hose, hardlines, equipment and general cleaning and organization. Work assignments include racking, topping, wine movements, operating cellar equipment such as Presses, chillers, centrifuges, forklifts, and knowledgeable wine treatments, and blending juice and wine.

Essential functions include following safe operating procedures, supporting TWG safety programs and policies, communicating professionally, performing Cellar I tasks, operating and maintaining moderately complex cellar equipment, ensuring efficient utilization of all winery equipment, providing guidance and support to staff, and ensuring timely, accurate completion of all wine work orders.

Qualifications include being 18 years or older at time of hire, having a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2–5 years of general winery experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred, adhering to all safety regulations, operating procedures, and company policies, reading, writing, speaking, and understanding instructions in English, possessing basic math skills, completing documentation efficiently and accurately, multitasking, working independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on safety, quality, accuracy, and timeliness, skillfully operating all basic Cellar equipment, machinery and basic hand tools, being reliable, punctual and able to work various shifts and overtime as needed, prioritizing and adapting to changing priorities, having an excellent safety, work performance, and attendance record, being able to wear a full-face respirator, and being able to use analytical meters.

Physical demands include exposure to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels, wet or humid conditions, inclement seasonal weather, ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and twisting in a production environment, ability to repeatedly lift and carry weights up to 60 pounds at varying frequencies with equipment, and ability to work irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.

Compensation is hourly pay range posted: $18.89 - $28.32/hr actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position-related factors.
