Substitute Secretary Pool

The Solon City Schools are seeking qualified candidates to form a pool of substitute secretaries for school-based locations only (excludes Board Office, Transportation/Maintenance). The need is for both daily, as-needed substitutes and long-term assignments to cover medical leaves and other lengthy absences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excel in all secretarial and office skills and procedures necessary for the proper execution, operation and efficiency of the office.
• Ability to communicate and deal with people in a congenial and positive manner.
• Acceptable standards of emotional stability, moral character, sound health and be physically able to perform necessary job responsibilities.
• Verbal and written command of the English language and grammar.
• Working knowledge of word processing, data processing and other related business technology and machines.
• Knowledge of computers and the use of Power School is preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Pleasant and dignified office manner, neat in appearance and ability to adjust to change.
• Experience in an office setting is highly preferred.
• Must be willing to work at any school-based locations.
• Hourly rate is set at the currently approved compensation level.
