POSITION OVERVIEW:Driven by Dobbs, our family of brands brings together Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers—founded in 1976 in South St. Louis, MO as a family-owned complete auto care provider—and Conrad’s Tire Express & Total Car Care, founded in 1969 in Cleveland, OH. Together, we have grown into a rapidly expanding, multi-market automotive service organization that will operate across eight states in 2026, with continued growth on the horizon.
Across all locations, customers can expect a full selection of quality tire brands and comprehensive automotive services, ranging from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics and engine repair. - Diagnose and repair vehicles accurately, efficiently, and with a level of quality that exceeds customer expectations.
- Perform advanced diagnostic and repair work as assigned, including emission control systems, throttle body injection, electrical and computerized vehicle systems, anti-lock brakes, cruise control, drivability issues, transmissions, A/C systems, and four-wheel drive components.
- Execute all duties of Repair and Maintenance Technician roles as needed to support daily operations.
- Train and mentor service department team members on vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Assist management with daily operations, including estimating work orders, requisitioning parts, maintaining shop organization, and supervising technicians as needed.
- Safely operate all machinery, equipment, and diagnostic tools, including scan tools, DSOs, and smoke machines.
- Ensure compliance with all company and safety regulations at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary to maintain shop efficiency and provide exceptional customer service.

- Provides guidance, training, and support to junior technicians and service staff.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform basic calculations, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret graphs.
