Job Title:
Shipping Clerk
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for real-time analysis and assisting the coordination and balance of Shipping Operations. The Shipping Clerk will monitor and document all productivity measurements, support the Shipping Manager/Lead to ensure all tasks are ready for the production crew, and ensure all end of day (EOD) tasks are completed.
Responsibilities- Conduct real-time analysis and coordinate, balance Shipping Operations.
- Collect and record current productivity numbers and report them to the Shipping Manager.
- Monitor and track daily attendance.
- Research and resolve issues that occur between the host system and WMS promptly.
- Provide administrative support to the Shipping Manager/Lead.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of all Shipping technology.
- Perform additional duties as requested and support Shipping Manager/Leads as needed.
- Ability to communicate proactively and effectively.
- General knowledge of warehouse/distribution center operations.
- Multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and trend analysis.
- Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment.
- Prior experience in an administrative role.
- Detail oriented and accurate.
- Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trends and patterns in productivity data.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
The role requires sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, crouching, and handling items up to 50 lbs without assistance, and moving objects up to 250 lbs. Must stand, walk continuously, and perform job functions in distribution center areas (approximately 25% sitting/desk work, 75% standing/walking).
