POSITIONSUMMARY
Join our innovative team as a Specialist Procurement Category Management Buyer, where you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of category strategies that align with our business objectives, utilizing a comprehensive 7‑step strategic sourcing process. You will collaborate with both local and global stakeholders at Nestlé, ensuring robust Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for indirect services, while identifying cost‑saving opportunities that drive efficiency and sustainability.

JOBDUTIES/DELIVERABLES
- Develop comprehensive Category Strategies for each assigned category, in context of business objectives and utilizing the 7 steps to strategic sourcing process to understand and integrate category expertise, to set the direction of sourcing for the categories.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance projects, and present analysis & category expertise driven insights to Business Partnering and Stakeholders, drive execution of projects and maintain accurate records in the Online System for Cataloging Accurate Records (OSCAR).
- Ensure Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) are in place for indirect spending within the assigned categories.
- Identify and present innovation opportunities from suppliers to Procurement Business Partners and functional partners to drive innovation.
- Conduct Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiations with suppliers to achieve the most favorable price, incoterm and payment terms to reduce Nestle Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), make contracting decisions accordingly.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements related to the assigned categories to reduce and communicate risk and understand price changes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Technical, to ensure compliance and alignment with company policies and standards.
- Suggest improved ways of working, introducing new processes or re‑engineering existing ones in support of key priorities.
- Use knowledge of global suppliers and processes to bring opportunities to the forefront.
- Apply project management principles to drive cross‑functional teams in effective and efficient delivery of business objectives for both day‑to‑day activities and key projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement.
- Experience in Technical Category Sourcing such as MRO and Capex preferred.
- Experience in SAP, Power BI and other advanced data analytics tools preferred.
- Experience in Excel, Word, & PowerPoint required.
- Understanding of procurement processes, category management, and supplier relationship management.
