The City of Solon is accepting applications for a part-time Lead Day/Night at the Solon Community Center. This position will be scheduled on an as needed basis, approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, but not to exceed 28 hours per week. The anticipated work hours will be assigned as needed during the hours of 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.
The Lead Day/Night provides supervision and assistance to all assigned personnel. This position will closely monitor the Community Center and building staff to ensure that the facility remains clean. In addition, this individual will also assist with Banquet Hall/Meeting Room rental set‑ups and breakdowns. The Lead Day/Night will also serve as a substitute gym monitor when necessary. As the gym monitor, it will be the applicant’s responsibility to make sure that facility rules are adhered to.
This person will also assist in preparing the gymnasium for department programs and rentals.
Requirements include a minimum of a high school degree or GED certificate. A college degree and/or supervisory experience are preferred. This position has a starting hourly rate of $18.70–$28/hour.
