Registered Nurse Respiratory Manager (RN)

Position SummarySolon Pointe is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse Respiratory Manager (RN) to lead and oversee all respiratory care services, including ventilator management, within our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered respiratory care, regulatory compliance, staff education, and the successful operation of our respiratory and ventilator programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee all respiratory care services, including care for ventilator-dependent residents
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to Respiratory Therapists and nursing staff
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations related to respiratory and ventilator care
- Monitor ventilator protocols, equipment functionality, alarms, and emergency preparedness
- Lead respiratory-related Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Provide education, training, and competency validation for nursing and respiratory staff
- Participate in admissions, care conferences, and discharge planning for residents with respiratory needs
- Serve as a clinical resource during respiratory emergencies and complex clinical situations
- Maintain accurate documentation, tracking, and reporting of respiratory outcomes and services
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and coaching of respiratory staff
- Support staffing coordination and scheduling for respiratory services
- Promote a positive culture focused on clinical excellence, teamwork, and staff retention
- Support survey readiness and regulatory inspections
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in respiratory care, ventilator management, critical care, or skilled nursing
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ventilator-dependent resident care and respiratory equipment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
