Spring Hill Suites by Marriott Cleveland/Solo is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their housekeeping team!
ResponsibilitiesA Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and supervises cleaning personnel and inspects hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lobbies, performing the following duties. The supervisor works with the Executive Housekeeper to maintain overall cleanliness of the hotel.
- Maintains cleanliness standards for both guest rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure standards are met.
- Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies.
- Trains or retrains staff on proper housekeeping procedures when needed.
- In the absence of Executive Housekeeper, is responsible for housekeeping department supervision.
- Supervises employees in housekeeping department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interviews, hires, trains employees, appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees; plans, assigns, directs work, addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Cleans rooms and public areas as assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
- Works typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required.
- Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
- One year previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs., and lift, carry up to 25 lbs.
- And most importantly an engaging personality.
