Job Summary
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner to the leadership team at a manufacturing site, understanding unique business conditions and incorporating corporate HR strategy. The HRBP is the subject matter expert on associate issues, ensuring proper communication of company benefits, compensation, training, and policy & procedure interpretation, and helping develop site leadership teams.
Essential Duties andJob Responsibilities
- HR Excellence
- Ensure that all standard work is followed on a consistent and accurate basis throughout the year, so customers have consistent support.
- Work toward zero customer disappointment by meeting deadlines for all project work and providing timely communication.
- Know the business at a deep level; engage with the management team through staff meetings and leadership team meetings, responding quickly to shifting priorities.
- Provide clear, well‑organized and accurate information to the business regarding all corporate HR initiatives (Merit Planning, Organizational Reviews, Promotional Processes, Year‑End Calibration, Open Enrollment, etc.).
- Organize and present Skip Levels with associates, aiming for one Skip Level per associate per year.
- Conduct exit interviews for each voluntary departing associate, report feedback, and build themes for collective improvement.
- Collaborate with business leaders on the creation and implementation of HR strategies and solutions that support short‑ and long‑term business objectives.
- Investigate associate issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner; provide the management team with appropriate advice and counsel.
- Drive performance management throughout the year by coaching management on goal setting, feedback, and coaching.
- Participate in the annual affirmative action planning, compensation and position analysis, and recommend corrections as appropriate.
- Recruiting and Onboarding
- Monitor labor needs from planning meetings and execute recruitment processes for the service group.
- Facilitate new leaders in “New Leader Assimilation/On‑Boarding” and ensure all steps of the On‑Boarding Competency orientation are completed.
- Partner with site leadership to create relevant onboarding plans and ensure associates are aware of required onboarding courses.
- Workforce and Leadership Development
- Actively manage the Talent Review process, meet deadlines, and facilitate the annual local organizational review.
- Conduct follow‑up with line leadership to advance development plans and address outstanding actions.
- Support development of a workforce plan that identifies and responds to gaps, partnering with T&D specialists and leadership.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to hire and develop associates to meet business objectives.
- Required:
- A bachelor’s degree.
- 3–5 years of professional experience.
- Preferred:
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, psychology, or business.
- 3+ years of human resource experience.
- Strong computer software skills (e.g., MS Office, Org Plus).
- Interviewing, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Conflict resolution and relationship management.
- Exceptional customer service, sense of urgency, and detail orientation.
- Broad organizational knowledge (preferred).
