Job Overview
Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Distribution Centers or Retail Stores. This role supports multiple departments or retail locations, assisting leaders with HR issues and implementing services, policies, and programs that foster a high-performance, employee‑oriented culture. The HRBP plays a key role in empowering employees, driving productivity, supporting compliance, and ensuring quality standards.
You will work in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple priorities, and managing confidential matters with discretion.
- Conduct confidential investigations, resolve employee concerns, and maintain positive workplace relationships.
- Lead hiring efforts for multiple locations, including talent sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Support managers in goal setting, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Manage employee data and reporting using HRIS platforms.
- Assist in identifying high‑potential talent and future leaders.
- Ensure HR policies align with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Promote a safe work environment and employee wellness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Sound judgment and decision‑making under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
- Solid understanding of HR practices and employment law.
- Experience with HRIS platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to travel between supported locations as needed.
