Manufacturing Production, Machine Operator
2nd shift has Shift Differential Pay.
The Press Operator is responsible for cutting vinyl siding, diagnosis and troubleshooting malfunctions and recommend corrections.
Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Capable of learning how to set up and operate stamping presses ranging from 20 to 40 tons.
- Responsible for setting the tooling and operating the press safely.
- Document the production.
- Ability to use tools including, but not limited to, calipers, gauges and micrometers.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Able to problem solve and employ troubleshooting efforts.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Basic math skills and computer skills.
- Ability to read & write in English.
- Comprehension of written instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and necessary tools.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures. The environment is an active plant with continuous noises from equipment inside the plant.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
PositionType and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. (Subject to change based on business demands)
TravelNo travel is expected for this position.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English (Required).
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work under time constraints.
- Proactive and self‑disciplined.
- Practices Safety Management.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
