Position Summary

An associate who independently performs assembly and packaging of products, operates assembly equipment, and applies standard work to complete or partial components. Performs basic process changeovers, basic troubleshooting, and recognizes and solves routine problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Efficiently perform all learner level job functions.
  • Operate designated assembly/packaging equipment.
  • Perform job functions independently or with minimal assistance from a trainer.
  • Assemble components into complete or partial products according to standard work.
  • Perform complex valve assembly.
  • Perform single valve assembly and testing.
  • Begin training on multiple valve assembly and testing.
  • Demonstrate capability of routine/minor set‑up on basic equipment.
  • Conduct simple troubleshooting on equipment and tests.
  • Verify trace n of all materials used for each job.
  • Understand and follow proper part handling procedures.
  • Understand and follow Swagelok documentation necessary to perform job functions.
  • Recognize non‑conformances and inform supervisor, team coordinator or set‑up.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge (basic part numbers, components, materials, and configurations) within the scope of their job family detail.
  • Understand products, processes, and procedures to perform job functions to established standards and reduce the risk of quality escapements.
  • Able to answer questions posed on independent assembler skills.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance and clean up.
  • Complete daily documentation (tally sheet, cell board production).
  • Perform in‑process inspection (visual and gauging) during assembly.
  • Troubleshoot failures during final assembly and testing.
  • Train on new production order (NPO) requests from planning when failures occur during final assembly testing.
  • Perform particle testing and classification in accordance with ISO 14644‑1 during assembly and test for SC‑01 product.
  • Conduct multiple product functionality tests (shell, shutoff, flow, and/or stroke) during final assembly for each product with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in area.
  • Plan and prioritize daily orders.
  • Perform job‑related administrative tasks using SAP.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain a balanced workload during and between the shifts.
  • Follow daily equipment checklist (standard work).
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Assembly experience preferred or related job aptitude (e.g., ability to follow basic instructions).
  • Able to recognize functional and cosmetic defects.
  • Responsible for the assembly, testing, and packaging of product.
  • Requires the use of assembly equipment and standard work.
  • Able to navigate computer to access SAP, documents, qualification reports, etc.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Physical requirements:

    Must be able to lift boxes on a regular basis between 25–35 pounds and occasionally between 35–50 pounds. Considerable standing, stooping and bending is required.
