Position Overview
Granex Industries is seeking a CNC Operator Trainee to join our fast-paced stone-fabrication shop. This unique role will rotate between our Robotic Sawjet Department and CNC Router Department, learning to operate and program both types of CNC-controlled machinery. We will provide full, hands-on training for the right candidate who is motivated, detail-oriented, and ready for physical work in a loud production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Programming
- Train to operate and program a Baca robotic sawjet (CNC-guided).
- Train to operate a Northwood CNC router for stone counter top fabrication.
- Material Handling & Physical Work
- Safely push, pull, lift, and maneuver heavy stone slabs.
- Crouch, bend, and reach as needed to set up and run equipment.
- Quality & Organization
- Follow shop tickets and production schedules with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, orderly workspace to ensure safe, smooth operations.
- Team Collaboration & Safety
- Communicate and work well with team members across both departments.
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies, including PPE and machine-safety protocols.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
- Comfort working in a loud, wet-fabrication environment.
- Basic computer and math skills; interest in learning CNC programming.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.
