GENERALJOB DESCRIPTION
The Floor Supervisor for the department oversees the department and manages employees including scheduling and training. As the leader of the area, this role is also responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment. The primary focus of this role will be supervising the injection molding department; we anticipate that this role will grow into supervising other departments as production needs dictate.
RESPONSIBILITIES- 1. Department
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
- Set up and operate machinery and equipment
- Understand and apply knowledge of varied materials used in the department
- Manage time and schedule and prioritize tasks assigned
- Perform preventative maintenance activities and/or ensure they are implemented
- 2. Department
- Oversee department operations and employees
- Train new employees as needed
- Manage and communicate schedule and assign tasks appropriately
- Work with Operations and management to maintain staffing levels
- Communicate resource needs to Operations and management
- 3. Quality Assurance
- Inspect parts per customer, internal, or ISO standards
- Complete all required documentation for processes, maintenance, and training
- Other duties as assigned
- Five or more years of manufacturing or management/supervisory experience
- One to three years of injection molding supervisory experience, injection mold change outs a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and engineering print reading skills preferred
- Experience with measuring equipment and instruments
- Attention to detail with ability to read fine print
- Ability to stand for duration of shift, lift up to 25 pounds, lean into equipment, and perform push/pull tasks
- Willing to work overtime when required
This role pays an hourly rate of $26/hr with a $1 shift differential for 2nd shift.
