Assembly Operator

Join a growing manufacturing team! A growing manufacturing company is seeking dependable and detail-oriented assembly operators for all shifts. In this role, you will work independently and as part of a team to assemble, prepare, label, kit and package products according to work instructions and quality standards. This position is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complete products or individual product components
• Operate machinery used to prepare and assemble products
• Fill, kit, label, package and prepare products for shipment
• Follow specifications, drawings, job routings and work instructions
• Adjust processes and report quality or production concerns
• Inspect products, parts and paperwork for discrepancies
• Maintain equipment, machinery, tools and materials
• Complete manufacturing orders and inventory transactions accurately
• Meet established safety, quality and production standards
• Report equipment, material, inventory, documentation or safety issues
• Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S standards
• Participate in continuous-improvement activities
• Rotate between assignments and departments as needed
• Assist with training new or cross-training employees when requested

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two to five years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
• Ability to identify and report non-conforming products or processes
• Willingness to learn multiple areas of the operation and train others

Physical Requirements

• Bend, squat, reach overhead and climb stairs or ladders
• Lift and carry at least 25 pounds
• Work in confined spaces when required
• Stand and remain active throughout the shift
