Assembly Operator
Join a growing manufacturing team! A growing manufacturing company is seeking dependable and detail-oriented assembly operators for all shifts. In this role, you will work independently and as part of a team to assemble, prepare, label, kit and package products according to work instructions and quality standards. This position is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble complete products or individual product components
- Operate machinery used to prepare and assemble products
- Fill, kit, label, package and prepare products for shipment
- Follow specifications, drawings, job routings and work instructions
- Adjust processes and report quality or production concerns
- Inspect products, parts and paperwork for discrepancies
- Maintain equipment, machinery, tools and materials
- Complete manufacturing orders and inventory transactions accurately
- Meet established safety, quality and production standards
- Report equipment, material, inventory, documentation or safety issues
- Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S standards
- Participate in continuous-improvement activities
- Rotate between assignments and departments as needed
- Assist with training new or cross-training employees when requested
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to five years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
- Ability to identify and report non-conforming products or processes
- Willingness to learn multiple areas of the operation and train others
Physical Requirements
- Bend, squat, reach overhead and climb stairs or ladders
- Lift and carry at least 25 pounds
- Work in confined spaces when required
- Stand and remain active throughout the shift
