Receiving Specialist
This short-term contract role focuses on shipping and receiving operations within a large, clean warehouse environment. You will prepare items for shipment, handle incoming and outgoing materials, and work with SAP and other ERP tools to ensure accurate, efficient processing of orders and returns. The position operates on a first-shift schedule and requires strong attention to detail, solid computer skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Responsibilities- Prepare items accurately and safely for shipment in accordance with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Identify, count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy against documentation.
- Review and follow bills of lading (BOL) and receiving instructions to ensure proper handling of materials.
- Drive a forklift to unload trucks and move materials within the warehouse, as required.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Work within an SAP system and other ERP tools to enter, track, and update shipment and inventory data.
- Operate stretch wrap banders to secure pallets and shipments for safe transport.
- Receive and process all returned parts, ensuring they are accurately documented and placed in the correct locations.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and shipments, maintaining accurate records in the system.
- Perform quality checks on all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Apply basic math skills to verify quantities, weights, and measurements for shipments and receipts.
- Follow lean manufacturing and 6S practices where applicable to maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet shipping deadlines and support continuous improvement efforts.
- At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or another ERP system for shipping, receiving, or inventory management.
- Proficiency using RF scan guns (RF scanners) to track and manage inventory and shipments.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements for shipments.
- Computer literacy, including the ability to navigate ERP systems and related shipping tools.
- Willingness to drive a forklift and unload trucks as part of daily responsibilities, and openness to learning or further developing forklift skills if hired full time.
- High attention to detail, especially when performing quality checks on outgoing shipments.
- Ability to work a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to stay until 4:30 p.m. as needed.
- Comfort working in a warehouse environment, including occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with other ERP systems beyond SAP, such as Epicor.
- Experience in lean manufacturing practices.
- Familiarity with 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) workplace organization.
- Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or display production environment.

WorkEnvironment
The role is based in a large-scale, clean warehouse environment that supports display manufacturing for multiple markets, including kitchen and bath wholesale and retail. The facility operates on a first shift, with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the expectation that you may occasionally work until 4:30 p.m. You will work with technologies such as SAP or other ERP systems, RF scanners, and stretch wrap banders, and you will use forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products.
While most work takes place indoors, you will at times be exposed to outdoor elements when unloading trucks or handling materials outside. The environment emphasizes organization, safety, and efficiency, aligning with lean and 6S principles.

Pay and Benefits:
