Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Assembly
The Fabricator is responsible for working with different materials and equipment adjusting machine settings to cut, shape and align components.
Essential Functions- Prepares materials, including cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing and etching.
- Cut and assemble materials within the displaymaking process
- Plumbing installation and application
- Painting and Assembly of displays
- General shop duties
- Cleaning and organizing shop to create a clean working environment
- Work as part of a team to finish projects on time
- Working with hand tools
- Produce the highest quality work with attention to detail while prioritizing several orders simultaneously
- Participate in the installation of displays
- Participate and eventually lead in the solving of problems on site
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Demonstrate basic math and computer skills
- Must be organized and detailed oriented
- Willingness to function in a team environment
- Possess a sense of responsibility to accomplish task without supervision
- Must be able to operate a tow motor/lift truck
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures. The environment is an active plant with continuous noises from equipment inside the plant.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and possible climbing all day. The employee must be able to lift and or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School diploma, GED or Trade school degree
- A minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Fabrication or Carpentry experience preferred
- Must be skilled with general power tools and hand tools
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Ability to read technical drawings
