We are a growing Custom Materials and Automotive Services manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our 1st Shift operations. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure a safe and efficient work environment, develop employees, and partner with leadership to meet quality, productivity, and customer expectations.
This position is ideal for a leader who enjoys coaching employees, solving problems, improving processes, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Schedule:- Monday – Thursday | 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Occasional Fridays as needed to support customer demand.
- Lead and supervise daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Direct, coach, and develop a team of 20+ production employees and team leads.
- Drive employee engagement, accountability, and a positive team culture.
- Monitor production schedules and workflow to maximize efficiency while minimizing downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA standards.
- Maintain product quality by enforcing ISO Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Identify production challenges and implement effective solutions to improve performance.
- Coordinate staffing, training, cross-training, and employee development initiatives.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Shipping, Engineering, and other departments to meet production objectives.
- Analyze production metrics and utilize data to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment (5S principles).
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous process improvements.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and quality systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- High level of accountability, professionalism, and decision-making ability.
