Mixer / Food Production Operator – All Shifts
Location: Solon, OH
Pay: $17.50-$20.25/hour, depending on shift
Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Opportunities
Hire Sync is hiring experienced Mixers / Food Production Operators for a well-established food manufacturing and packaging operation in Solon, OH. This is a hands‑on production role responsible for preparing, mixing, seasoning, weighing, and staging products that keep high-volume packaging lines running efficiently.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to accurately follow formulas and production schedules, and previous tow motor experience. If you have experience in food production, batch mixing, ingredient handling, blending, or a similar manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do- Identify and retrieve the correct ingredients and raw materials for scheduled production
- Read and accurately follow formula sheets, recipes, and production schedules
- Measure and weigh ingredients and products according to specifications
- Mix, oil, salt, season, and prepare products according to established formulas
- Operate mixing and production equipment, including a DE clumper
- Properly tag and identify prepared products
- Stage finished mixes and products for packaging lines to keep production moving
- Monitor ingredient and product availability and communicate potential shortages
- Follow FIFO procedures when selecting and moving raw materials
- Inspect materials and products for quality and report anything outside of specification
- Safely operate tow motors, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Move ingredients, materials, and finished products throughout the production area
- Complete required food safety, quality, and production documentation
- Follow established quality sign-off procedures
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas
- Operate floor-cleaning equipment and assist with general production-area housekeeping
- Bale cardboard and properly dispose of production debris
- Follow all GMP, food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with directing and training assigned employees when needed
- Previous tow motor experience is REQUIRED
- Must be able to safely operate a tow motor in a production/manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English to accurately follow formulas, production schedules, safety instructions, product labels, and required documentation
- Previous food manufacturing, mixing, blending, batching, ingredient handling, or production experience strongly preferred
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to accurately weigh and measure ingredients
- Ability to follow detailed formulas and specifications without taking shortcuts
- Strong attention to quality, food safety, and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to repeatedly handle ingredients and materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and access equipment platforms
- Dependable attendance and the ability to keep pace in a fast-moving production environment
