Tool & Die Maker - 3rd shift - $35-$44+ DOE

PPS is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a growing manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience working with progressive stamping dies, precision machining, die repair, and troubleshooting
.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in the toolroom and jumping in at the press when production tooling needs immediate attention.

What You'll Do

• Build, maintain, modify, and repair progressive, blanking, piercing, and forming dies
  .
• Troubleshoot tooling problems and perform emergency die repairs at the press
  .
• Perform die grinding, shimming, sharpening, fitting, and component replacement.
• Machine replacement parts and tooling components while maintaining close tolerances
  .
• Operate toolroom equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and other precision machining equipment.
• Read and work from blueprints, tooling drawings, sketches, and specifications
  .
• Perform die tryouts and diagnose production and tooling issues.
• Recommend tooling improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
• Assist with CNC machining and Wire EDM operations when needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

What We're Looking For

• Journeyman Tool & Die card or equivalent Tool & Die experience required.
• 3+ years of Tool & Die experience preferred.
• Experience with progressive stamping dies strongly preferred.
• Strong die repair, troubleshooting, and precision machining skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances.
• Wire EDM experience is a plus.
• CNC machining experience is beneficial.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Safety- and quality-focused with strong attention to detail.
