Jerpbak Bayless — Solon, Ohio Job Type: Full-TimeA Day in the Life It’s 7:00 a.m. in Solon and the hum of spindles is already steady. You walk the floor, greet the first shift, and review the day’s plan for multi‑axis mills and lathes. A rush job with extremely tight tolerances is on deck, so you huddle with programming and engineering to fine‑tune cycle times and work holding.

A quick stand‑up with machinists resets priorities, then you scan dashboards for KPIs—machine utilization, throughput, scrap, and schedule adherence—shaping decisions for the afternoon run. As parts move to inspection and shipping, you’re coaching leads, approving training, and removing roadblocks. By day’s end, the shop is safer, leaner, and ready for tomorrow’s mix.

What You’ll Lead Oversee daily plant operations across production scheduling, machining, quality, and shipping.

Develop and mentor teams of CNC machinists and programmers.

Ensure components meet tight‑tolerance, high‑precision requirements.

Drive continuous improvement to boost efficiency and minimize waste.

Plan and manage workflow for multi‑axis CNC lathes and mills.

Uphold and enforce safety, quality, and operational standards.

Partner with engineering/programming to optimize machining processes.

Monitor KPIs, productivity, and machine utilization.

Oversee staffing, training, and performance management.

Support quoting, cost control, and overall plant profitability.

Qualifications7+ years of manufacturing leadership, ideally in CNC machining.

Deep knowledge of multi‑axis CNC machining (mills and lathes).Proven success with tight tolerances and complex machined parts.

Track record running production teams and shop operations.

Strong command of quality control, process improvement, and lean principles.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Background as a CNC machinist, programmer, or manufacturing engineer.

Experience in job shop or high‑mix/low‑volume environments.

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
