The Quality Control Department maintains data, records, and testing results to ensure the quality and compliance of products. QC Technicians perform testing and documentation to verify product accuracy, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
Each level is distinguished by the degree of technical skill, independence, and leadership required:
Level I:Performs routine QC testing and documentation under supervision.
Responsibilities:- Review incoming products and associated records; enter data into inspection records as required.
- Follow up to obtain missing or incorrect information or documentation.
- Perform routine testing following pharmacopeias (USP, ACS, EP) and internal SOPs.
- Record all test results accurately in product documentation and ERP systems.
- Assist in creating product specifications based on instructions from the Product Manager or designee.
- Support quality investigations and QA verifications as directed.
- Develop foundational knowledge of the MP Biomedicals Quality System (ISO 9001:2015).
- Cross‑train across related QC functions to maintain operational flexibility and team coverage.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to implement QC‑related works, like Open Order Review, cross‑departmental meeting within the company, and perform all other duties as assigned, including any additional responsibilities necessary to support the success of the department and organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
- Entry level; prior lab or QC experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail, basic computer and communication skills.
- Lab setting is located near production floor.
- Standard PPE required per product SDS including respirators.
- May occasionally lift or move materials up to 25 lbs.
- Clean room environment requires no nail extensions, no facial make up, no perfume.
