Job DescriptionClient Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers across multiple channels—including in-person, by appointment, and virtually—to provide informed counsel with a digital-first mindset. They assess and attend to customers’ banking needs, obtain and process customer and account information, demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommend solutions based on each customer’s goals and needs.
They engage in proactive outreach and follow-up, identify solutions for new and existing clients, maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services (including digital products), and provide a consistent, optimal client experience. Responsibilities include greeting clients, processing basic transactions, developing collaborative partnerships with branch team members, opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications. They educate clients on emerging digital products and self-service options to meet financial needs and leverage available resources to optimize the client experience with accuracy and operational excellence.
LicensingThis position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. Registration includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any NMLS requirements may result in rescission of an offer or termination of employment.
Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically has a minimum of four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Effective engagement and communication with clients
- Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
- Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions
- Experience with digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to identify a customer’s true needs with a digital-first mindset
- Demonstrated proficiency in recommending solutions that meet customer needs
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location listed. Actual range may differ by location. Pay range: $23.75 - $29.03. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package and may include incentive programs, equity options, and other compensation eligible programs.
